Founded in 1966 by Hank Manley, Manley Performance Products began life as Manley Speed Equipment, with a product line that included stainless valves, forged pistons, and several internal engine components. Manley’s simple beginnings included a catalog of mimeographed paper that led people to its rooted stomping grounds of New Jersey. Word of Manley components’ quality and performance spread quickly, trusted by early customers such as Don Garlits, Bo Laws, and Bill Jenkins. Hank’s son, Trip Manley, was a natural fit to join the company with a passion for automotive performance, and by 1988, the company had outgrown its original location and moved to a new factory in Lakewood, New Jersey. Since then, Manley Performance continues to evolve and has expanded its product line to include connecting rods, crankshafts and rotating assemblies, valvetrain components, pistons, pushrods, and more, all covering a wide range of domestic, sport compact, and European applications.
